Massage therapists and management consultants in Saint Lucia are now better equipped to take advantage of opportunities to offer their services to clients across the region and internationally.
Twenty three (23) Spa Therapists have attained Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) in Massage Therapy – Level 3. With the newly acquired Certification, the therapists can now move freely within CARICOM under the CSME free movement of persons regime, and offer their services to a broader client base. The CVQ Training and Certification of Spa Therapists is the result of a joint initiative between the Saint Lucia Coalition of Service Industries (SLCSI), the Hair, Beauty and Spa Association, and the TVET Unit of the Ministry of Education. The 23 participants, now have the added benefit of being recognized as ‘Licensed’ massage therapists by the Allied Health Council of St. Lucia.
In the area of Management Consulting, nine (9) St. Lucian professionals are now Certified Management Consultants. The CMC Certification is the result of a collaborative effort between the SLCSI, the Association of Management Consultants of Saint Lucia (AMCS) and the Caribbean Institute of Certified Management Consultants (CICMC).
Certified Management Consultant (CMC), is an internationally recognized certification of competence and professionalism in Management Consulting. It serves as an international endorsement and recognition of a members’ expertise, and draws clients to them.
CMC Certification will help AMCS members improve their export potential, and enhance their
ability to compete in the delivery of service at the national, regional and international level. The nine CMCs now have the required knowledge and skills which will enable them to build a reputation of delivering high quality, professional consulting services across various sectors and markets.
